Mary Lue,s babies

One time this October my brother Jacob said, ''what is all that racket coming from the woods?'' I said, ''I don't know but lets check it out.'' So we went into the woods and I said, ''wait I need to check on Mary Lue's eggs because today is the due date for her eggs to hatch.'' I went to the turtle pen and looked in the egg cage. There were two baby turtles in there. They were beautiful.sadly I do not have a picture for these either.

Flash

One saterday evening Gage, Mikey, and I were raking up around the turtle pen to make it look nicer. Gage froze. Mikey and I asked him what was wrong. He pionted down and we looked. There was a baby Eastern box turtle closed up in his shell. Mikey screamed whitch made gage and my ears, throb. The turtle came out and looked at all of us. Gage knew right away what to name him. Flash. he brought it home and is now taking care of him. I sadly do not have a picture of Flash.

Adrian's Eggs

This fall I was outside with my friend Ronan. We went over to the turtle pen. He said, ''What is that strange hole.'' "Baby turtle!'' I screamed. There was a baby turtle hole with turtle eggshells. The next day I went over to the turtle pen and serched for the baby turtles. In the monkey grass I found 3 Beutifull baby turtles in there. They were so cute. I named one Spot (I let him go). I gave mickey one and he named it Jack. The other one I kept for my self because none wanted him.

Ridgie's eggs

One day I went out to the turtle pen to feed the turtles. I saw a strang hole. I looked in it and there were turtles eggshells. I felt around in there and there were two baby turtles. I named one Henry and the other Spencer. I gave a girl called Emma, Henry. I let Spencer go because he was not healthy.

Bogie :(

I have sad news . Bogie has DIED!!!!!!!!! Mikey and I were going out to play with Lil'L and Bogie . Mikey went to go get Bogie but came back with tears in his eyes. Bogie had died.We buried him and scratched his name into his tume stone.

Tyson

Gage and I were walking in the woods when we heard a rustling in the leaves. I looked and saw a copper colored head . My first thought was that it was a copper head snake but then I saw the shell. It was a male box turtle. We named him Tyson.We took him to Ashley and thy immediately the turtles started mating. Sadly he ran away. We didn't even get a picture.

Before Colt

A post I left out that happend before Colt...

One day, Mikey and I were walking to the turtle pen. We noticed an unusual hole moving from inside of the turtle pen to out. We ran to the turtle pen. Every turtle was there except for Asher and Adrian. We searched outside of the turtle pen. we found Adrian. She was in my garden which is in my yard. We never did find Asher though. Afterthat we decided that the turtle were more anxious to get out because it was close to hibernation. So we let Ridgie, Adrian, and Sharpie go. It was so sad to watch them go off on their own separate ways. But we are looking forward to seeing them next spring. We did keep Ashley because she will lay eggs soon.

Colt

Gage and I were in the woods. We walked over to a very deep puddle. I said what if there is a turtle in the puddle and sure enough there IS a turtle. We decided to name him Colt .

Within 2 minutes him and Ashley were mating. They continued to mate for an hour and a half.

Sharpie and Ashley

Sharpie and Ashley mated. I was going out to the turtle pen, and I looked at it. I saw Sharpie with Ashley. I figured out that they were mating. It was so exciting because I knew that we would have more eggs now.

Ashley

Mikey and I were walking in the woods when he yelled '' TURTLE" . I ran over and there was a female box turtle. She only has 3 legs. We decided to name her Ashley. We did not know that on this day she will become pregnant.

Mary Lue's Eggs

Gage, his brother Brady,and I were bringing food to the turtle . I stopped dead in my tracks Mary Lue was laying eggs. this is a once in a life time opportunity.

Asher

My friend Gage , and I were walking to the turtle pen .We saw a turtle that we diden't reconize he is very small. We named him Asher witch means blessing. We later found out that a friend had put it there.

Mary Lue

Early July Mikey was about to go to lake lure and then to Maryland . He brought Bogie and another turtle in his hands . He said he found it on the way over . It was a female. I named it Mary Lue.( Maryland - Mary Lake Lure - Lue)

Sharpy

After we recovered Doc ,I found another male box turtle right next to him .I named him Sharpy because of his sharp rough shell.

DOC

At the end of june Mikey ran over to my house . he had a male box turtle in his hands. He named it Doc.

It ran away . 2 days later I found him along with a nother turtle but thats a different story

Adrian

Near the beginning of june I found a female box turtle.I named her Adrian.It was a rainy day.

Ridgie

In march mikey and I went to Jacob's baseball game . We found a female box turtle. We decided to name it Ridgie named after Porter Ridge.

3 months later we found out she was pregnant with 3 eggs.She has layed all eggs.

Squirt

Around september mikey and I went to the N.C. mountains. We were bouncing golfballs and mine went behind a bush. I walked over and found the smallest baby box turtle I have ever seen. At first no one beleved me until they saw it.

Around Chistmasmy math teacher asked where she could get a baby box turtle. I offered her Squirt . Squrt is now with Ms.Hayes.

Lil'L

On July 18'2010 I heard my dog (Napoleon) barking.I ran over andthere was a beautiful baby box turtle.I ran over to mikey's house.He was plaing with Bogie.We both cheered.Lil'L is a girl eastern box turtle.

Sorry/Bogie

Sorry I have not written anything in forever.So much has happened like my friend got a new baby eastern box turtle.One hot summer day ( June 26,2010) Mikey raced over to my house. He started screaming," Baby box turtle" so I screamed,"What ".It was true.He found it at the golf course that his dad works at.He named it Bogie.Bogie is a boy eastern box turtle.
